Now for the dining room....

Day 1 - close of escrow!

Day 5 - painting complete

Our
table & chairs were moved in along with our china cabinet. The table is an antique that my mom bought at an auction when she was pregnant with me. It's old & weathered, but I can't bear to part with it. The china cabinet was the first piece of furniture that
Pipo & I bought after we were married. The fit is a bit awkward, but we're trying to make it work.

In order to lighten up the room some, we traded out the black wooden chairs for the fabulous
Ghost Chairs (love).

We also hung our large mirror on the wall directly across from the window to help reflect the light. I'm thinking of painting the frame, but am undecided on the color. Any ideas?

It's coming along, but still needs some work. Next on the list is finding a rug that will work & adding some color. I also think the chandelier needs to be lowered and am working on convincing
Pipo of the same thing. That beaut wasn't so easy to install.

Mustard? I'm so partial to mustard. And tell hubby to get to lowering! You should never ignore those instincts. :)
