frame stop

Using this as inspiration for a family photo display in our upstairs hallway, I stopped by Ikea (my home away from home) tonight & picked up some of these...

Ribba 20 x 20 Frame
$19.99

I'm thinking about using the mats as is or having new mats cut for a variety of different sized images to mixed it up a little, like they did...

Having to decide what to put in the frames is going to be the hard part.

warmth

I am really feeling the crispness & warmth of this photo found via Young House Love's house crashings (except I could do without the large presumed engagement photo as a focal point). The pretty green paint against white trim in the first room combined with a lighter neutral beige in the next really invites me in.

5

After getting Agnes Martin 6 back from the frame shop, I decided a 2nd Agnes was in order. So, I ordered 5. They will hang next to each other in the dining room, which is slowly coming together. I'll be posting room reveal photos before too long, I hope.

I heart Agnes!

tulips!!

Look what we received on the doorstep today - tulips!
A housewarming gift from my step mum and pops. I am SO excited!

They even came with two cushion covers - red & black. I can't decide which I like better, but I'm a little partial to the red.

Merci, merci!

IS

I recently discovered IS Photography on Etsy & fell in love with the images created by Irene Suchocki. Irene's photos of Paris, Italy, landscapes, and flowers are magical!

happy weekend!

Thank goodness it's the weekend!
I'm off to L.A. to do some browsing/shopping with my step mum at our favorite shops. While we're up there, we'll be visiting the only CB2 store in town in hopes of bringing home a few new additions to the casa.

Happy weekend lovelies!

tees

I'm not usually a fan of F21's basic tees, until I found these beauts, which are just short of perfection. A must-have for summer!

Heathered V-Neck Tee
$8.80 ea.

More colors, please!

weekend finds

The search continues for perfect additions to the house, at budget friendly prices.
My latest finds....

Elly Dish Towels - Ikea
$2.49 (4 pack)
I was surprised at the quality of these towels. They are great for cleaning up in the kitchen and the classic patterns look cute on the counter.

Kardemumma Plant Pot - Ikea
$1.99 ea.
I can't get enough of these pots. The price can't be beat & they are made to last.

Ribba Frames - Ikea
$9.99 ea. (mat included)
A crisp clean look for hanging family photos in the hall.

Woolrich Grommet Window Panels - Target
$24.99 pair
The nice textured fabric and grommets make these curtains look a lot more expensive than they are. A steal!

$19.99 pair
I prefer the Woolrich pair above, but we needed a longer length for the living room & these are a good alternative. The fabric is a simple canvas, so nothing too interesting, but they are thick & self-hemming, which gave us the freedom to make them any length.

Metal Rod, Cylinder Finial - West Elm
$29 - $79 ea.
Not exactly a budget find, but totally worth the splurge. I love, love, love these rods! I'm a believer in spending more on hardware and fixtures, which are more permanent additions to the house, and saving on textiles that will need to be replaced or changed more often (especially in a house with cats).
