heartbroken

Lace Inset Tunic

The moment I saw this lace inset beauty at Urban Outfitters on Saturday, my heart raced. I snatched her up in my size and looked around to see if anyone else had seen me, as if she were a hidden treasure that I didn't want to share. I hurried to the dressing room to try her on, sure that she would be pure perfection and I would be walking out of the store with her in hand in a matter of minutes. That is, until I slipped her over my head and pulled her down, expecting her to stop at my waist, but she kept going. My heart sunk. She is a tunic, a length that looks terrible on me. I tried with desperation to make her work, bunching her up, pulling her down, but after 10 minutes of struggling, I walked out of the dressing room with my head down and my heart broken.
If only she were shorter or I were taller.

Darn. & the thing with knits is you can't shorten them easy peasy like you can a woven.

ambika, i thought of shortening it, but didn't think i would be very successful. apparently it's a good thing i didn't try.

my eyes popped out of my head at the photo, but I'm just like you - just can't sport the tunics... maybe we should make our own version :)
