fight for the whales

http://www.greenpeace.org/usa/news/greenpeace-activists-block-ref
Greenpeace continues to work tirelessly to block Japanese whalers from killing whales in the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary. After the moratorium on whaling in 1986, Japan continues to kill whales under the guise of "scientific research". Japan hunts hundreds of whales every year, including endangered species. The whale meat is sold to grocery stores, restaurants, and school lunch programs in Japan. Iceland & Norway have also failed to halt commercial whaling & are currently hunting whales in the North Atlantic. Although the demand for whale meat is decreasing, the whaling continues in these countries. The whale population is in extreme danger, and commercial whaling must stop.
