Earth Pledge celebrated NY Fashion Week a few hours early with their Future Fashion show held on Thursday, 1/31 at Gotham Hall. More than two dozen of the industry's prominent designers pledged their support by creating eco-chic looks out of sustainable materials. Among the participants were Diane Von Furstenberg, Duro Olowu (heavenly coat dress shown above), Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, Derek Lam, YSL, and Givenchy. Using organic fabrics, natural vegetable dyes, and fibers derived from banana leaves, hemp, soybeans, and bamboo, the show proved that fashion has the ability to go green without compromises in design, quality, or style.
